Doesn't have long to wait
For the arrival of Trop Storm Karen
Rain & wind she'll be sharin'
While off the island's north shore
A 6.0 quake, subduction on their door
Followed quickly by 5.1 quake
And, now dozens of after shakes
At least no tsunami waves a'coming
Karen be plenty of bad news drumming
On an island still in Maria recovery
Punk'n Head prez happy in their misery
Instead of lab to showcase sustainability
Spews blame, denies current reality
Island perfect for solar & rain collection
Still we look back in oil direction
After islands, Karen's path is unclear
May stall and then get pushed here..
Lorenzo growing quickly off Africa
Earth & ocean warming, more storms, duh
Quakes in N. Utah & in North Sea
5.6 in Pakistan, major damage they'll see
Hard to believe all the Earth craziness
Sitting here in early Fall bliss
Cool & breezy with low humidity
Azure skies and no clouds I see
Yet, around Earth, human greed rages
And, poachers stuff animals in cages
Cut off tusks, remove swim bladder
So, Chinese slime can climb social ladder
Extinction, who cares, got money to make
But there all consequences for all we take
Soon we'll have what we deserve
Just a few rare species in reserve
GMO chickens, coyotes, pigeons & rats
Mosquitoes, flies, fleas & feral cats
A world with no turtles, bees or frogs
And, certainly no water filtering bogs
Only plants: kudzu & loblolly pine
Watered lawns with chemical shine
GMO soy, wheat, corn & potatoes
Bleached white bread & tasteless tomatoes
No rice, won't grown in poisoned water
Maybe we should pay attention..sorta
Sad; leadership coming from young kids
That see we need to put on the skids
Wait and plan way before parenting
Vote down Republichump ranting
And, reduce, reuse, recycle
Fewer cars, more bicycles
Back to my current reuse projects
Do what you can to lessen effects
