Dorian's Labor Day Creep, Onward To....?

Hot & humid with blue skies clear
With quite the bird show here
Downy woodpeckers on the suet
Gold Finches at feeders going to it
They also come in for a little sip
Hangin' on hummer's ant trap lip
Or head upside down, descend the chain
Easy sip of water, they don't complain
Yellow jackets causing hummer pains
Both want sugar water in their veins
Doves on ground, cruising for seed debris
Nuthatches coming head first down a tree
Horse flies crashing into the window
I blog & watch the tirehouse yard show
While to the south, life much less certain
Slow mo' Dorian left Bahamas hurtin'
Land encounter slowed back to Cat. 4
Now... where will it enter Florida door
Or just rake all the sand from the coast
Either way, SE shoreline is toast
Wind, rain, storm surge with tornadoes
That's just how a hurricane goes
Another pretty obvious Earth alert
Keep pumpin' CO2, our world's gonna hurt
Duuuh!!

Another standard-ish earthquake day
Ring O Fire, eruptions & ground sway
Something moving Hawaiian ground
Could it be some magma is around?
Quakes in Indonesia, Peru & Chile'
Subduction got Guam in sway
And, in other Pacific issues today
Typhoons headed east Asia's way
Also a storm off Mexico's west coast
Low in Gulf maybe ready to boast
"Hey, I'm a hurricane, too!"
Atlantic, more ready to charge through
And, do you know the reason?
Well, cuz it's hurricane season
Gotta get all that heat out of here
Heat vs. Ice: winner should be clear
Duuuh!!

If there are no storms where you are
Tonight crescent moon near bright star
Star is Spica, the alpha in Virgo
Both will be in haze and low
In the west
1/2 hour past sunset best
Coolest view later in the week!
Jupiter & 1/4 moon; Thursday, take a peak!
By then, Dorian could be here
Or off the coast, free and clear
Stay tuned...
Today On Earth!!
