Perhaps another shower

As rising air will power

And, on Earth, a cooling sensation

A bit of a shaky day

Likewise cooler here in the trees

But, just step out in the sun

You'll be blasted by a solar stun-gun

Another front is oozing our way

Clouds and showers by Wednesday

From a system that may hangout

Little rain's way better than a drought

But, come what may, we've little choice

Heat or rain, you're alive, rejoice!

Alaska & Cali have calmed down

But, Caribbean plate moving around

From Hispaniola to Virgin Isles

5.0 Panama quake down 6 miles

Indo-Australia plate collision

Asia-Pacific plates have decision

Fold up mountain or down to trench

Either way the Earth will wrench

And, twist, and break and moan

Release that energy; Earthquake zone!

I seem to have fended off the deer

And, it has become quite clear

But, very deep, no evacuation plan

Magma oozes, mid-ocean ridges shake

Molten rock always ready to break

Through to the surface, then cool down

New crust forming all around

Most quakes are a natural thing

But, in Oklahoma from a human fling

Blowing up shale way down deep

Oilers deny any water pollution seep

Get their oil and natural gas

But can't sell salt water for cash

So, they drill even deeper down

To where ancient bedrock is found

Pump down the water, lubricating

Old faults, which slip, quakes a'waiting

Oily lawyers always deny

We're not to blame they always cry

But, other states have stopped the fracking

Soon no quakes or foundations cracking

Follow the lies that follow the money

Rich getting richer, all must be sunny

Subduction causing melting, this we know

So, where on Ring will next mountain blow

And, even though today is so nice

Warming temps rapidly melting ice

Human population continues to expand

Cut down trees, get blowing sand

Keep building bombs instead of schools

Economy strong from shopping? Such fools

Here at home we have a moron "in charge"

UK joined into ego-maniac barrage

A Day For Solar Power!

I realize I should be blogging about
Where I was 50 years ago
When Neil and Buzz got out
And, wandered the moon, yo
But, I do remember and everyone
Else is talking that today
So, it's hot I'm talking sun
And, here's my say...

Today seems like a really good day

To ask why more solar panels aren't in play

Our nearby star feels super hot

Whether out in direct radiation or not

It's 96.5 in my woods, in the shade

But, cool inside, got it made

My batteries have a full charge

Free energy, living large

But, I want more panels out back

Want to fully power the tire shack

Why don't we all have panels on the roof

Dominion & Exxon don't want the truth

To get out

Because there's no doubt

Corporations don't want us free

To produce our own energy

But, we can

So understand

How simple it would be

If your roof produced your energy

If you had a meter inside

Reading out your energy ride

If you could see how much you save

By flipping off the switch, you'd rave

Our roofs can produce our power

Or hot water for the shower

Cut out the energy middle man

It's a fairly simple plan

Build panels, put them on our roofs

Early, hook up to grid, don't be aloof

Share your power, lower your bill

But, add batteries to store your power spill

We'd never have to build a new power plant

And, yes, energy giants would rant

But, who cares about those greedy pigs

Let them look for new, nicer gigs

We need AWARENESS of our needs

Once aware, it's easy for new seeds

To take hold, grow and change

From bottom up, we can rearrange

The planet!

Go shopping less, dump walmart

Buying their chinese crap ain't smart

What a waste, amazon shipping

Cardboard, gasoline; hear the carbon dripping

It's all the human earth extraction
