Sun But Cool, Mars, Aldebaran & Subaru!!

Still reddish Mars will be just below the Pleiades, aka: Subaru, tonight with the red eye of Taurus, Aldebaran watching from off the left, same color and brightness as Mars. Just after dark, there will be no moon up so the view should be lovely. Orion, fending off Taurus, hunts on farther east followed by his dogs, Sirius and Procyon. No clouds & cool, check it out!!

No clouds..because the mess of the last few days has been pushed off shore by a big High pressure dome centered north and slightly west of here. Boreas, god of the north wind, in charge today with the clockwise circulation around the High; it's sunny and bright out, but cool and will stay that way today. Rain across the deep south will remain across the deep south.

Guam, Taiwan and Colombia are the only spots with quakes at 5+ today, Taiwan's 5.5 the largest. Iceland quakes on but magnitudes remain just below 5; plenty shaky when you realize it's likely magma movement directly causing the quakes..when you live on a volcanic island, you know the rules: volcanoes rule!! OK with 3 small quakes today; blowing up the Earth, pumping salt water deep, keeping gas prices low!!
