A very chilly start today but the temp is rising and our monster High pressure dome is sliding east, warmer day and days ahead. Spring-like temps will bring out new wardrobes as well as bugs and pollen, the good with the bad. Very little chance of rain this week, from swampy to fire danger we go!! But, we all can use some warm, it has been a steady, cold, winter since Dec, 1st - not the deep cold of old but chillier than the last few years. Still, the planet warms.
And, shakes..but mostly in the south Pacific as the boundary zone north of New Zealand continues to adjust and reset itself. Couple of 5+ quakes in Indonesia & Chile' but that's nothing if not normal.
The asteroid Apophis did a preliminary Earth flyby this weekend, quite distant this time but in 8 years and a month, on Friday April 13, 2029 it will skim through Earth's satellite scene and be visible with naked eyes. Don't know what else will be going on then but that will be news. Still forecast to miss...
Solar wind remains potent but momentary lull is coming before getting busy, stirring auroras by Friday. The waning crescent moon made it's appearance not long before dawn today, may still be in the sky, I haven't checked.
TrumpVirus number with a big drop yesterday, typical Sunday low, we'll see if the trend down continues or if idiot governors opening up, dropping mask mandates, spring break and new variants will spawn another surge - get out and party kids then come home and kill grandma!!
