When they put an instant read thermometer into the NW yesterday it showed that the region was rare, time to take it off the grill. Just over the border into British Columbia, they were into the medium rare range with temps more like Death Valley and deaths, well, like in Death Valley. With a nice breeze here yesterday it was almost pleasant..almost. Already 82 here with heat index of 86 but inside the tirehouse, with only one mini-split running and only on dry it's a chilly 67, a nice shock when coming in from outside.
The monster Bermuda High has retrograded back over the SE and is holding off the storminess in the midwest until (forecast says) Friday; we will see. Couple of disturbances out in the Atlantic that may become storms, tis the season. NE was hotter than mid-Atlantic, wild planet is set on bake!!
Speaking of disturbances, Costa Rica's Rincon de la Vieja blasted off yesterday, ash/tephra hurled waaaay into the atmosphere. More details tomorrow when week's volcano list is updated.
A little above average for quake numbers today but none even at magnitude 5 so other than a little reminder to those dwelling along plate boundaries (or in freaking fracking zones) no real quake issues today...it's the heat!!
TrumpVirus deaths back over 300 yesterday and it's even higher because no report from where buildings collapse and reality is denied and where the governor has knee pads built into his pants, just in case donny the douche shows up for a lie-fest: Florida. With millions refusing vaccines, hundreds will continue to die daily; buy donny's lie, good chance, you gonna die!!
