53 here this morning but the temp is rapidly climbing as the center of the Canadian High that's in control begins to slip east and we get the southern air side of the system. Much of the rest of the country continues to bake, 100+ temps common, no rain in sight and major fires burning in 8 states; welcome to the new Earth!
The Low that will likely become Claudette later today is moving out of Campeche and into the main Gulf and rain, wind and storm surge will begin lashing the coast later today. Might get here for some rain by Monday, might stay south, might have storm here tomorrow and Sunday..only time will tell.
Another very calm day on the big broken planet, only one quake even at 5.3, in the Aleutians but Indiana with a 3.8 quake that is likely all the buzz in Bloomingdale today.
Still no TrumpVirus death report from Ohio or Florida(likely illegal to report in Florida with their douche governor) and deaths and cases still low but our worldwide viral evolution study is proceeding well; new variants popping and killing everywhere - likely coming to your neighborhood soon!! Vaccines seem to work against all comers so to the unvaccinated I say..seeeeeeeya!
Our nearby star has one spot but it is not raging so there's no particle stream blasting Earth..well, above the normal. The 1/4 moon was lovely last night, will continue to show more of its lit side, moon-lighting the evening sky on it's march to Full. We are at peak daylight hours, the solstice at 11:32 Sunday night; maximum northern tilt.
