The chaotic planet has a rule
Heat will be followed by cool
Canadian air, from the north above
Has given the nasty heat the shove
And bonus, we've gotten gentle rain
Cool, cloudy relief, no way to complain
Over an inch of rain right here
Re-greened the world, that is clear
Later, the front will clear VA
Cool, dry air headed our way
Rest of the week is looking fine
Perhaps previewing fall, first sign!
Big brown dog not big on rain
Water in creek or pond, no complain
But, when it's falling from the sky
He'll pass a trip outside right on by
That is, until I go out
Then there is no doubt
He's coming along
Tail a'wagging the inner dog song
Met the big guy 3 years ago TODAY
At a friend's 60th birthday
Knew of one other on July 23rd
But, as on now, I've since heard
Of three others, one born just today!
Dad's tomorrow, Mom's was yesterday
Happy Birthdays to all born this week
(And, so you know, your sign is Cancer
Because our nearby star is a dancer
And, just shimmied into the new sign
Last Saturday! All is still fine
To distant stars pay no mind
They have near zero effect

Ecuador, Peru with Earth seizures
Even waaaay south on mid-ocean ridge
Magma shoving Earth a smidge
Below the surface or in atmosphere
Everyday it is quite clear
This planet is a wild place to be
You should get out and have a see
