On a cool and cloudy day, the rain mostly gone, the Sunday morning news shows still have TDS* whining, denying reality that their boy donny lost. At least a dozen senators and the stooge VP plan to share their fox views on the floor of congress and vote to not uphold democracy. One still railing, blaming the democrats for starting this election questioning back four years ago with the russia/donny connection. Which even the senate, upon their extensive investigation, agreed happened, they just lacked the backbone to impeach the treasonous pig and put him in jail.

Earth still shakes on; 8 magnitude 5ish quakes today and a 6.1 in the Aleutians, no tsunamis reported. Pacific plate is being tucked under continental plates all around today, thus the quakes (actually, there seems to be ever ongoing subduction around the Ring, just not shown as bigger quakes, a conspiracy I'm sure Q-anon asswipes will be looking into..:) Mid-Atlantic ridge also getting in on today's quake action as is the Scotia plate.

The non-hoax sad reality, almost 300,000 new TrumpVirus cases yesterday, 2,000+ deaths; now over 350,000 Americans that will not see 2021. As with any science experiment involving life on Earth, there will be mutation and evolution; new viral strains now spreading world wide; morons denying science happily participating in the biggest science experiment ever, proving what they also deny, that evolution is real! Believe what ever imaginary friend you worship, what ever conspiracy you want, Earth does not care!!

Vaccine rollout is slow and disjointed, just like the last 4 years, slow and disjointed. A lovely sunset yesterday, sadly, the clouds making the scene are mostly contrails from more jets, spreading more TrumpVirus across the US, still paddling upstream on the moronic American river: Da Nile!! Lovely but deadly..

I missed yesterday, in my Premier League distracted state, mentioning that the Earth was at perihelion yesterday morning; the closest we'll get to the sun for all of 2021. Here in the northern hemisphere we are still deeply tipped away from our local star and even though it hit 63 yesterday, loveliness sandwiched between to soggy days that one day warmup had no relation to our being a tad closer to the sun, just a warm front sliding through, very briefly. This rain will move out later today leaving mostly a dry, cool, January like week ahead.

Today, however, the rain drizzles on, the damp cold rules. Tomorrow is the latest sunrise of the year; the longest night is the solstice but earliest sunset about 2 weeks before then. Nothing is as simple as it seems on the big planet..we clever humans have figured so much out, more remains.
