20 acres, with nothing but a tree
As far as I could see
Except a gas line reminding me
I was not the first one here
And, it had once been clear
Tobacco? Corn? Not really sure
Tried to add photo of me in chair
In what was to be the front yard
But, google sucks

But, today a walking tour
Will still show a lot of trees
And mossy trails, lovely as can be
With a cozy, little house of tires
Warmed by sun & wood fires
Into which I have now retired
A state to which I have long aspired
Today, kicked back with a Holladay tune
Hoping the toasty sun returns soon
Forecast says tomorrow, we will see..
Today, it's wet & cloudy as can be
But with the temp on the rise
Wedge erosion, I surmise
Still this system has been wild
Ice up north, south, tornadoes styled
Tornado emergency, dozens seen
Death & destruction, the scene
All along the Gulf coast
LA & Miss, with the most
But, it will pass
Then a cold blast
Building to the winter solstice
Late Saturday, forecast: nice
Broken planet today, over 90 quakes
Caribbean plate with serious shakes
Alaska & California, too
Yet nothing anywhere as great as 5.2
Out of US, only 11 quakes worldwide
Really just Puerto Rico on the shaky side
Hope there's no magma looking to slide
Up onto an island with no place to hide
Make the choice: volcano or tornado?
Migration, seems the way to go
But, where?
Wild planet, just don't care!!

Venus will be a dazzling sight
Jupiter is gone, Saturn dim & low
East, 7:30, Orion & Taurus are the show
Winter, the season of the brightest stars
With quite the range of color bars
White, red, orange, yellow, blue
What do you see shining thru?
And, all stars twinkle
Planets reflect, so no light wrinkle
