In the middle of the USA
An old rift is back in play
Once magma pushed plates apart
A billion years ago, Earth gave a start
Off and on an inland sea
Now it's the Mississippi valley
That old structure's been buried deep
Too deep to move from rainwater seep
But, salt water is now heading down
And, quakes are ripping up Okie towns
Fracking produces oil and gas
Know what else that fracked shale has
Lots of salt water, it was sea floor
But, big oil has no place to store
Salt Water!!
So, what are they going to do?
Just pump it deep, wouldn't you?
Problem, when you pump it down a tube
To that old rift, it becomes a lube
Lubes old faults, pressures grow

There are plenty of good folks out there
But, all scared of NRA stare

With their Armageddon dream
Fear is not a good way to rule
But, always been dictator's tool
Ignorance is not a good thing to show
Off in public, don't ya know
Yet, that's what we see everyday
More dread & denial coming into play
