A Summer Day On Earth

A "stalled" front forecasting rain
Has moved off the southeast coast
So our rain chances are on the wane
August heat turned back to toast
A fairly shaky earthquake day
With most north of the equator
A 5.2 up Aleutian Island way
Some shakes near Yellowstone crater
Southern Asian boundary zones
From Greece, Iran, over to Burma
Plate covered world shakin' bones
Earth seems solid, not really very firm-a

Waxing crescent, little bigger tonight
Into Virgo, drifting out of Leo
2 more days a better sight
Near Spica, tonight tough to see-O
Time to get a brown dog out
Another stroll in the heat
Got some business to do, no doubt
Then he'll be back to eat
His dinner
Listen to some blues for me
And, perhaps a beer; Winner
Hope you got out, had a see
Today On Earth
