Momma Sparrow & Her Babies - D-DAY 75 YEARS AGO

OMG, how cute can birds be?
A momma sparrow with baby
Two actually, cruising through the yard
While hummers battle hard
Mom and babies sharing treats
I hope, eat all the ticks, sweet
Gotta go get a dog
Maybe more later from blog

Thousands of Americans
Were ready to go
Ashore, onto the beaches of France
Many didn't make it far
Most did to crush the German horror
Few remain alive
Today the French still remember
We best not forget
With a fool in the White House
Sucking up to dictators & tyrants
Our vigilance is needed
Corporate greed: extraction & war
Despite General/President Eisenhower's
WARNING!!
THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX
Drives the USA with the world
Lapping at our heels
Don't buy their plastic crap
Put down your phone
You're a bad driver
Even without it in hand
Do more, Eat less
Plan & prepare for your
One or two great kids
There are easy fixes
But will only come from
People that see the peril
We are all in!
We must not let the sacrifices
Made on the beaches of France
Be in vain!

Never more true the adage
Those that don't know/learn from
History
Are doomed to repeat it
Remember on this D-Day anniversary
And, my usual reminder
"The Earth doesn't care about us"
So, we better care
And, make the change that's coming
Positive
For all the life on Earth
Today
And everyday!
