Bedlam & Brilliance

Protests continue to roil nationwide
Prez brushes 105,000 dead aside
Peaceful protesters attacked by cops
Prez dreams of ways it all stops
But, no empathy, no plan, no clue
Virus, racism, no idea what to do
Change subject, someone to blame
Never my fault, always his claim
Just ask, I'll give military a call
Start to loot, lets shoot them all
Fat Bill Barr, blaming the far left
Of any evidence, he is bereft
Currently his life is so hard
No aid to fetch him bucket of lard
Cries for president to lead
Sadly, a 3 1/2 year need
I don't think that's likely to change
With a sociopath this deranged
While..all white cops in riot gear
Stoke a country rife with fear
And, the virus deaths still rise
Is bedlam a real surprise
Today on Earth

There was good news yesterday
Saw a rocket fly away
Two astronauts were on board
From Russia, finally cut the cord
About to dock with space station
Some good news in divided nation
Coolest part of the flight
First stage back on deck, so light
Elon, SpaceX, way to go
We all needed positive show
Today On Earth

At least a lovely close to May
Cool, dry air has come our way
Lots of clouds but little rain
Weather trends, hard to explain
After mild winter & lovely spring
What will this summer bring
Long term, this we know
Rising temps, less ice & snow
And, cutting trees, a disgrace
To put solar panels in place
Current trend, local greed
Yes, solar panels we all need
But, should be on our roof
With a meter, we'd see the proof
That we could use less power
Don't really need 1/2 hour shower
But, not Dominion's greedy plan
Want all the power in their hand
For ever
Panels on roofs take that away
That's what we all need today
On Earth

Pretty standard day of quakes
No big waves or breaks
Mag. 6.0 in Peru
5.6 in Japan, too
Mid-Atlantic ridge lava quake
Just off Haiti, 4.7 shake
Oklahoma, the fracking blues
Use less oil, we must choose
Will we learn, will we change
Not that tricky to rearrange
But, first we need a leader
Still only got a moron tweeter
