With skies so blue
Sun shining through
Thursday shaping up to be
A day looking quite lovely
But, with a Jet Stream dip
Temps continue with a slip
Downward
Toward
Freezing
That ain't pleasing
To young, tender plants
I'm looking to transplant
Guess I'll be waiting
'Til next week & chill abating
Could be in 80's or higher
Step out & perspire
But, today, layer up
And, a wise pup
Stayed out of creek
What do Gold Finches seek?
Moved away from the seed
Hope it's on ticks they feed!
Something has 'em on the move
Looking for new grazing groove

New volcanic isle growing
Another Solomon island showing
But, not quite yet
But, a safe bet
Eruption will continue
New island will poke through
Cuz, Earth ain't going no where
Still lively, that is pretty clear
15 volcanoes on list this week
Most are looking pretty meek
Few eruptions but mostly ash
And few planes up to crash
Through air full of sand
With virus, very little demand
For folks to hop on a plane
Me thinks, you'd be insane
And, that you'd soon complain
About COVID on the brain
But, it's Thirstday, I employ
You to get & enjoy
This beautimous day
And, as I continue to say

Missed thanking NURSES yesterday
So, I'd just like to say
Nurses are amazing in every way
Saving lives every day
So much compassion
Which they never ration
Another vocation, waaay underpaid
So, much money waylaid
By lawyers & insurance types
Worthless, greedy fat asswipes
Who're OK letting folks die
While NURSES try & try & cry
Working to save us all
Every day on Earth!!
