The TOE has been on a break
Skiing, Birthday party, a lazy streak
Government is open but trust is low
Millions hurt, and nothing to show
National, local or state
We still have to wait
For elected folk to do their job
Not gonna happen with president slob
And local board's been lying, too
Both better know, we're coming for you!
Megasites sit empty all over the place
Still Louisa wants to jump into the race
Waste our money on ridiculous schemes
Good money after bad on crack pipe dreams
Pay slime consultants to make up the numbers
Slide it all through, hope no one remembers
But, we are paying attention
When your only goal is job retention
And, making sure you and your buddies get rich
Your days are numbered, if you're a lying punk bitch!
Weather guys wrong, clouds still here
Still deep into winter, it is quite clear
Soon a dusting of snow, then more brutal cold
Extremes of climate change, already old
Still we deny, pump out the CO2
Still the Earth doesn't care about me or you
Moon doesn't care, sun doesn't care
Nor do the trees, fish, fungi that we share
This lovely little planet with, our home
Life will adapt and continue to roam
The waning moon, 3rd quarter late yesterday
Setting up for a Venus & Jupiter play
So far, a slow day of quakes
Mostly Tonga to Philippine shakes
Volcano list not updated for another week
Shutdown hangover recovery we all seek
But, you will feel better if you get outside
Bundle up for a walk, bike or snow slide
We aren't aliens, we live ON Earth, too
