Wasn't much rain and snow didn't come
But, cold is here, frigid, brutal, numb
Add in the wind, wind chills are rough
Bundle, cover all skin, better be tough
And, our idiot prez calls for global warming
This is it, you fool; extreme weather norming
Trap more heat and all systems go wild
Like too much sugar to an ill-mannered child
Or too much fox news to a clueless goob
Who gets threat assessments watching the tube
And, it's not a buried catfish causing China quakes
But heat escaping, moving plates, giving the shakes
Ignorance and superstition while on a smart phone
Scientific inquiry has put us in this tech zone
Don't "believe" it, the Earth doesn't care
Believe what you want, just don't share
Cause we all believe in different ways
And, we'll all find out one of these days
Or not, because no one knows
If after this ride, if or where we goes!!
But, this we know on our part of Earth today
The big wild planet's in charge, in every way
Hope you caught the early morning show
Venus, Jupiter, the crescent moon, WHOA!
Venus is lower but still rules the morning sky
Will be August before it says bye-bye
Tomorrow the brightest planet will kiss the moon
Bundle up but the view will make you swoon
Time to go and brave the cold and wind
