While pileated woodpeckers scream
And I took a long nap, but no dream
The temp took a quick turn around
Clouds beat sunbeams down
Another above freezing winter day
Two weeks it's been that way
And one more day above 32
Then winter returns for me and you
With a storm perhaps coming our way
Bringing snow to get out and play
It is setting up for this weekend
But, long range forecast don't pretend
To be very accurate at all
Still shoppers will head to the mall
And, load up for the long storm haul
While Chump shutdown affects us all
I'm off to keep an eye our local board
As they try and waste cash and play lord
So much slime
Wasting our time
Spending our money
Thinking it's not funny
Pay attention
Many should be in detention
We need to listen to what they say
Politicians, all over Earth, Today!
