Everyday is different & new
Just waiting for today's new you
Earth rules, with which we deal
Not concerned with how you feel
We await a giant mass of rain
That mostly bypassed the plains
The southern jet stream is kickin'
Giving Dixie a good, wet lickin'
Clouds thickening ahead of storm
And, crazy; it's gonna be warm
From Pacific across Mexico
Northern jet currently a no show
Bet that will change
And, 70 in January not that strange
Here in the Old Dominion
Better than -10... in my opinion
Course, we really have no choice
Earth will have the last voice
Everyday
Another rocking earthquake day
Over 50 slips putting rock on sway
Quite a few above magnitude 5
California seems to be coming alive
But Indo-Aussie Pacific boundary
Still where the most shaking be
Small uptick on volcano list
Several back we've recently missed
Krakatoa, Etna & Stromboli
But, White Island I don't see
Saunder in S. Sandwich Isle
Stirred up after a long while?
Hard to tell it's so remote
But, now getting active vote
With new looks from satellite
Maybe been active just not in sight
Aleutians, Kamchatka, Japan, Indonesia
Each 2 or 3 mountains with seizures
And, Sabancaya in Peru
8 daily eruptions blasting thru
Alert there remains near high
Long as stuff blasting into sky
Just our planet doing its thing
Life on Earth comes with a zing!!

Moon near 1st quarter, Venus so bright
Tonight, here, clouds'll block that sight
Today's solar heating done
With the now blocked sun
But, all is good
Got sunlight stored in wood
Hear some dog ears a'flapping
Guess he's done with napping
But, after an early rising
I am surmising
A nap sounds mighty fine
