On The Gloomy Side

Early rain, now drizzle & grey
Stalled front won't go away
With NE wedge locked in place
Today's gloom is in your face
Kind of a gentle, cooling facial
From a front, its movement glacial
Waaaaay more in your face
As the Philippines brace
🌋
Taal volcano, about to blow
First, volcanic lightning, what a show
Now they brace for the big blast
When will it come, how long to last
Half a million trying to get out
Gonna go, seems little doubt
If just island blows, will be bad
If lake/caldera, we'll all be sad
When Pinatubo blew in 1991
Lot of dust, blocked the sun
Cooled Earth for couple of years
But, 200 years since worldwide fears
Creating years with no summer
Today; be a much bigger bummer
Like on central S. American coast
Getting quite the earthquake toast
Japan with couple of 5+ quakes
Puerto Rico still go the shakes
Here the gloom is getting thicker
What to wear, a towel or slicker
How long stuck in this cloud?
Can hear couch cry "nap" out loud
Got a quick Venus look yesterday
Today, treetops almost gone away
Forecast: winter to return soon
Starting Friday with 3/4 moon
🌗
Chance of snow & ice Saturday
Hope that don't get in the way
Of my coming trip to France
To do the big ole ski dance
Alas, Earth will do what it does
I'll adapt, just because
Those are the rules & I know!
And, ya can't ski without no snow
Today On Earth
