Cool Side, Shaky Side

Most of Va is on the cool side
Of the front that did the slide
Through, then did a stall
Soon, will do the crawl
Back north with perhaps a shower
But, its energy & power
Has mostly fizzled away
Except in NC & down bayou way
Still got rain, chance of a storm
Just another day, now's new norm
Puerto Rico still got the shakes
With half of today's earthquakes
Biggest at mag. 4.5, but still
Every aftershock, a local chill
We know, we remember
8/23/2011, into September
When Earth shakes, no where to hide
Hunker down or rush outside
Quake, bush fire, or tornado
Winter warmth or blizzard, volcano
Big ole planet, still in charge
Any moment it could barge
Into your world or mine
Still fools convinced, all is fine
It is not, and we are not on it
We can deny, Earth don't give a ....

🌖
Waning moon will light clouds tonight
Casting that eerie, ethereal light
Not too cold to wander outside
I know, winter, & many tend to hide
Still an fine planet out there
Happy to share
Get out, see what you can see
Better than staring at phone or TV
Today On Earth
