Our weekend storm's rockin' the Northeast
Here cloudy & cool, no rain at least
The central US is cooking
That heat is looking
Our way for the coming weekend
Perhaps summer is ready to send
Spring on it's way
But, with it 60, not today!
Today's big news is a 7.5 quake
PNG's eastern archipelago got a big shake
But, seems to be a strike-slip move
Lateral shift, not a vertical groove
So no big wave was given a push
So, no coastal villages got a smoosh!
Always good news after a big shake
With no casualties, easer to take
Still, bet it was quite a wild ride
Just hang on, when Earth on shaky side
Waxing gibbous moon into Virgo tonight
4 days from full it's getting bright
Spica will be the star left and below
Straight up will be Arcturus, ya know
Arc northeast from there to see
Where the Big Dipper's handle will be
From the handle, reverse your line
Arc to Arcturus, Spike to Spica, so fine!!
Cool and breezy continues here
With clouds, it's less than clear
High and Low battle it out
Gonna be wind, no doubt!
Still a fine spring day
Has come my way
