Low in the southwest tonight
Will sit a lovely sight
Mars and the waxing crescent moon
But, only after dark, take a peek, soon
And, we were a bit overdue
For a quake magnitude 7.2
PNG got rocked yesterday
Well inland, no tsunami at play
While quite a shake
It didn't seem to break
Much on the island
Power restoration is at hand
High pressure remains in control here
But, southwest air flow makes it clear
Today will warm nicely, short of hot
Still a lovely Spring we got!
Time to get out, find a dog
Maybe go for a golfing slog

Last week's bloomin' Dogwood view, then gravity
took over, and all fell, at once it seemed
The ground around the tree was white
What a sight!!
