That 1,923 number pushed the USA over 1/4 million dead from a virus, albeit a nasty virus, but not what should have happened in the country with the most advanced (arguable) medical facilities on Earth. But, we have a worse virus as president; an evil, insidious, immature, spoiled narcissist pretending to be president who's only goal over the last 4 years was to enrich and keep the spot light on himself. The spot has shined donny, too bad you haven't; the light revealing all the ugliness you believe and represent, with your fat, walmart shopping, racist, fox watching morons lapping it up..and feeling important and entitled! Sad times in America..but, you did lose the election, lost bigger than you won by and you are going, ya whiny, pussy ass bitch!! WORST PRESIDENT, EVER!!
Just heard a sad stat..over half of adult Americans have or are at risk for type 2 diabetes..half! What that really means is over half of adult Americans are unhealthy, fat (obese) pigs! Just look at a t***p rally or watch the crowd waddling out of any walmart...
Another slow quake day, none even in the 5 range, usual places..
Same with volcanoes, 16 on the list of 18 (2 there because Iceland has updated some systems) and it's the usual suspects -Stromboli going big in Italy, Peru's Sabancaya with an average 54 eruptions per day, Santa Maria & Pacaya still blasting away in Guatemala (hard to believe Fuego isn't..), 5 in Indonesia and 4 up Kamchatka way and same 2 Japanese islands getting bigger. White Island, off the north coast of New Zealand is stirring again, no tourist boats there these days!
Here the strong High pressure is sliding east, that meant the coldest start but a warming as air flow changes around to a southerly direction. If it was gonna freeze, it did!! No rain in forecast for days so get out and check out evening sky (or a sunny day).
Moon, Jupiter and Saturn a lovely string along the ecliptic last night!! Tonight the moon will be lower left of Saturn as the planets continue to inch closer together. Moon slides 12 degrees per day and two planets are now less than 5 degrees apart. No sunspots, but hints of one on sun's other side from solar orbiters on opposite side.
Here the returned dog naps, house finches glom at the feeders, gold finches are back around, too. Squawky blue jay and usual collection of downy's, red bellies, nuthatches, chickadees and titmice. Wrens dart here and there, yapping away! Happy to feed 'em. Time to get this Thirstday underway.
