Hurricane Iota (#30 for the year!) has blown up to a category 5 storm - winds jumped from 85mph yesterday to 155mph today (another record for storms with rapid intensification) which is 2mph from Cat 5. This is just 2 weeks after Eta trashed Meso-America (before heading up to US for Florida and east coast wind and rain thrashing). These two storms might be the Earth's attempt at provided much needed birth control to the superstitious, crowded region. Another system nearby is being watched for the next storm. My outdoor basil is picked and now pesto - killing freeze coming tonight or tomorrow. That's 2 weeks later than average for last few years, which has drifted into November - October frosts more common 20 years ago!
The cold front that blew through here last night - without any real rain here - brought hurricane force winds to several spots northeast of here and left over a million without power. Many, in the know, believe we have already reached the tipping point on warming the planet; decades or centuries before all our excess CO2 will be dealt with by the planet. And, that is if we were to just stop today, ha..ha..ha..haaaa! We won't even put on a mask to slow a pandemic, think all these TDS* are going to stop commuting in their monster trucks?

As their hero refuses to show his taxes, wonder how many of fat Donny's sycophants are on some form of government assistance all the while bitching about welfare payments and lazy Mexicans. I know - seen first hand, how most folks that have come to this country illegally - how hard they work. Way harder than most, fatass, white Americans; that wouldn't do the jobs they do, anyway. All that meat Americans are stuffing in their obese faces was processed by underpaid, often cheated, immigrants. You can bet your Thanksgiving turkey was!!

Early tomorrow morning, with nary a moon in sight, the annual Leonid meteor shower will peak. The moon, New yesterday, will make its moonthly appearance as a waxing crescent this week, 🌒 sliding up beside the teapot of Sagittarius tomorrow and Jupiter and Saturn on Wednesday and Thursday. Then gibbous, 🌔 our satellite will be below Mars on Thanksgiving eve. The sun is back to spotless, the magnetic disturbances rotating out of view here on Earth.
A mag. 6 quake in the Philippines likely caused some local issues, but no tsunami. Few San Andreas quakelets in Cali, Idaho is again, quite shaky but nothing above 4.1. Nevada and Puerto Rico with what has become the new normal quakes and the rest of the Ring O Fire, a pretty average looking day. Earth doing that plate tectonic thing.
