Well, the rain gauge wasn't overflowing but it was above the marked 5" line - maybe 5.3" and water flowing through the yard and forest like I have never seen. Two of my bridges had debris on or against them but remain in place - the South Anna was farther out of its bank than I have ever seen - looking more like a lake than a river - just below the 604 bridge. Harris creek was across the road 6"+ deep when I eased through on the way to town - not on road upon return.
The actual river is over in the trees...
But, the front is through, Eta is off the coast and cool High pressure is building in, sun and scattered cumulus on an average November day - Friday the 13th. Just what we need in 2020.

Nevada rocked with a 5.3 quake today, Idaho also back in the shaky zone - both quake areas sparsely populated, no issues. Worldwide, usual regions, no issues.
The TrumpVirus issue continues to explode in the US - especially in states that hosted Donny's superspreader events - guesses are at least 700 have died, directly related to his rallies - my hunch (and hope) that it's much higher - what TDS* would admit they got the virus at a rally, they live in a world of denial, why not go out the way they lived, with a lie!!
Another record yesterday, 163,000 new cases, 1,172 more dead Americans - at this rate, and it shows no sign of slowing as dumbasses continue to wander freely, unmasked, we'll reach 11,000,000 cases by week's end with over 1/4 million dead long before Thanksgiving - at 243K yesterday!! More positivity in White House staff, nice!!
The thin waning crescent moon, Venus, Mercury and Spica formed a lovely trapezoid before sunrise this morning - not visible here through a soggy sky. The sun continues to stir, sunspots activity still on the increase, but no big, potential issues pointed at Earth. A greenish comet is cruising through Orion, just passed the belt, headed toward left shoulder star, Bellatrix two days hence - telescope needed although I will try if skies allow with binocs.
The cool has returned, although longer term forecast for this winter, La Nina in play, is for a mild winter in much of eastern US with little snow - shocker! What...you mean Earth is warming!! YES!
