Shut Down On The Ides Of March

Today's the Ides of March, BEWARE!
Cuz obviously the prez don't care
About anyone but his fat self
As his numbers fall off an empty shelf
Complete incompetence on display
At the White House, again, today
Fortunately, there are lots with a clue
Working hard to get us through
Mayors, governors, nurses & docs
Stepping up to the blocks
While across the land, hoarders hoard
TP is what most moved toward
Who knew most folks poop at work
Otherwise, why're TP shoppers berserk
Me, just M&M's, onions & beer
Will keep me without fear
Out twice Friday, again tonight
Who knows if that's alright
And, always walks in the woods
Whether weather is bad or good
There will be weather today
Is the forecast that I say
If asked(for years), will we get snow?
I'm just the rock guy, don't you know
I watch the weather, multiple stations
Then throw in my evaluations
Today, a last hint of winter chills
Before Spring's warmer air spills
Back into the shut down USA
We will see what comes our way
Today On Earth

What is an average day of quakes?
About 30 above mag. 4 shakes
Dozen & a half off SW Puerto Rico
Kinda their new normal low
Another normal: Pacific Ring
Subduction doing it's stuffing thing
Old crust in, new lava out
As volcanoes blast about
Sun still quiet, planets still reflect
Sunlight, though today, clouds deflect
Just popped out, it is misty, raw
Is this winter's last straw
Not gonna put out tomatoes yet
Cause we'll have more frost, I bet
Is corona tied to global warming?
No cold to stop viral swarming?
I know, sometimes I sound alarming
But, in awareness, there is no harming
My usual reminder; Earth don't care
What any life forms are doing here
Pandemics come, pandemics go
Ice age or droughts, we don't know
We know, Earth is great place to be
Surely best planet that we see
But, about us, it don't care
Nor, in anyway, is it fair
Life & luck favor the prepared
Who from corona will be spared
Hope it's me, hope it's you
Just another day to get through
Today On Earth
