Serious slipping it does take
That's what went down today
Off Kamchatka peninsula, big sway
Pacific plate under North American
Another day, Earth's subduction plan
Quake that big could create a wave
But, today, ocean seemed to behave
Otherwise, average day of 30 quakes
With almost as many PR after-shakes
That fault zone is showing no sign
Of slipping into a state benign
That seems to be where we're going
Here, rain gone, only clouds showing
Headed to drier days, warmer temps
As away, any hint of winter limps
Also limping, the big dog, Breyer
So, only to short walks do we aspire
Seems to be nothing raw
On his left front paw
He keeps licking, but I can't see
What my big dog's issue can be
Poor guy
