Sun Then The First Full Moon of Winter

The rain is long gone
So the sky was back
Today and now tonight
With a full moon attack🌕
The bright orange disc
Through the trees in the east
An eerie glow first seen
Out walking my wild beast
Now listening to the blues show
The annual Christmas edition
Sipping on a seasonal brew
My regular Saturday tradition
A quick check of the quake list
Showed a 5.5 quake in Zimbabwe
And more after shocks
Up Kamchatka and over Alaska way
With Vanuatu hit with a 6.0 quake
Crazily, a pretty normal thing
For that plate boundary archipelago
Gotta be tough on the Pacific ring!
The lead up to xmas and beyond
Will have the feel of a Va. winter
Chilly but not too cold
Hope you get to your family center
And, have a Happy Holladay
On this and every day
Get out for a look and some play
On our sweet planet, Earth, today!!
