October & Kilauea

I thought Hawai'i's earthquake swarm
Was quite a bit above the norm
Sure enough, magma was on the move
World's most active, back in the groove
Here, Rocktober is feeling good
Temps right about where they should
But, a La Nina is building in
Fall colors could be looking thin
All the heat, all the rain
Staring at extreme weather pain
Normally, the Trade Winds blow
And westward the warm waters go
Then slosh back, the east Pacific is hot
That's an El Nino that we got
When Trades slow, waters cool
Then La Nina is the rule
Both change weather, often worldwide
La Nina tends to push us to warm side
With a winter cool & wet
Not much snow we would get
But, we haven't had much in years
For the skiers, that means tears
Anyway, what we know we got
Is a world that keeps getting hot
Problem: Manchin w/ head up coal's ass
Fix our problems, he'll take a pass
Those folks were elected to do a job
Half still willing to suck donnie's knob
So, we get nothing done
'Cept wackos stockpile 'mo guns
World keeps moving on, ahead
Here we got more unvaxed dead
Running our experiment in viral evolution
Instead of getting shot for easy solution
Talking to dumbass is hard to do
When only the fake fox they will view
As a wise man once said
'Tain't what you don't know
That's gonna hurt you so
It's what you think you know
That turns out, just ain't so
Round the Earth, quakes are low
Along plate boundaries they show
Sun still spotty, but no big blasts
Who knows how long that'll last
Me, time to get out & enjoy
And, track down a large brown boy
Rocktober is here
That means party, that means beer
Today On Earth

A little paint helps
