While we try to safely celebrate
"Leader" lies, stirs up more hate
Heat, humidity still in charge
Much needed rain, still at large
Few viral cases, deaths yesterday
Bet, much less testing on Sunday
Along Gulf coast, brewing storm
Up East coast it may well swarm
Bringing me some needed rain
Yet nearby, of flooding they complain
High tides flooded Cali streets
Hey, more global warming treats
At least, a quiet earthquake day
Just one mag. 5.9 seafloor sway
Aftershocks Cali, Nevada, Idaho
And, yes, in Puerto Rico
Noctilucent clouds sighting abound
Comet NEOWISE is comin' round
Up into the morning sky
With brighter Venus nearby
By mid-month, comet in the west
After sunset, viewing will be best
Moon & planet show last night
By clouds, blocked from my sight
Hope you got out, had a look
Maybe a nice photo you took
If you go out today, think cool

Cuz only way, high temps to beat
Is to get out of that heat
