Low 50's, a good place to begin
Hard to complain on a day so fine
Trusting, rain'll be back some time
Our dry issues are minor though
California, power shut downs, whoa!
Fire danger there is so high
Fear high winds will make sparks fly
Tens of thousands now without power
But, if it prevents another fire shower...
Power plants & grid making less sense
In our overpopulated present tense
Wires & pipes running everywhere
When every structure could just care
For its own daily needs
Our technology far exceeds
The challenges that idea presents
First, better child planning by parents
Just one or two great kids
Puts growth & greed on the skids
Thought & planning; to life sustain
In times of both flood & no rain
Not really that hard, can be done
Need to use our brains & the sun
But, with no leadership or no plans
Change ain't coming from any republicans
But, Abigail, Amy & Juanita Jo
More women, that's the way to go!
Not old guys, sucking the corporate dollar
No abortions, more guns! all they holler
Only way to make things change
Give our representation a rearrange
Another election coming quick
Need to lose slimy republican clique
But, the planet's still spinning round
19 volcanoes making a rumbling sound
6 still in Indonesia, 2 on PNG
Japan & Russia's Kamchatka each with 3
Fuego, Santa Maria, many explosion per hour
Guatemalans dodging lava & ash shower
3 in S. America blasting away still
While in USA, volcanoes all chill
Other than SW Pacific, a quiet quake day
Off Puerto Rico, much less rock in sway
NW USA, another snowstorm underway
40 degree swing just in TX today
Planet just doing its thing, getting wild
Like Punk'n Head prez, tempestuous child
But, Earth don't lie, whine or shirk blame
Always here, always different & the same
Hope you get out for Earth wander today
Or tonight, see what sky has to say
You're an earthling, outside you belong
Look, smell & listen to planet's song
