Mercury Transit Underway

Mercury is crossing the sun's face

It's so tiny, barely a trace

Cirrus clouds are blocking for me

Trying hard, but just can't see

Even with camera zoomed way out

Right now, in the sun't center, about

Got til little after one

Protect those eyes, then check the sun

Blowing some leaves away
Came back just in time
Mercury on sun's edge, sublime
Just a tiny little dot
About at the 2:30ish spot
Best to enlarge of bigger screen
Then you'll see what I've seen

Very average earthquake day
But, 4.9 put Hawaii in sway
And, toasty warm in Ole Va.
Tomorrow will not be that way
Most of US already deep into cold
Arctic air surging south, getting bold
Most likely rain here, not the snow
But, then the cold will not go
Below average rest of week
Inside warmth, most will seek
Tomorrow morn at 8:34
Full Beaver moon, for sure
Will be blocked by clouds for most
Most of us on the east coast
I'm headed back out today
One more warm day to play
Before January temps arrive
