Lots more energy trapped from sun
All on small planet that don't care
Finds we humans going nowhere

Here in VA, another break from heat
Front thru, lower humidity, neat!!
Round the world, usual shake scene
On the sun, still spots easily seen
Auroras into the northern USA
Elsewhere, big heat & ice going away
No ripe tomatoes for 4th, but soon
Not far behind sun, crescent moon
Earth is at aphelion today
Farthest point along our oval way
So..hey baby, it's the 4th of July
Staying alive, sure gonna try
