A monster High pressure dome has pushed the storms away and will be parked over the eastern US for a few days with another shot of pre-fall air. The west still cooks and burns. Long after the front passed, a little burst of rain passed through here last night..but left nothing in the rain gauge.. No rain in the forecast for awhile; enjoy the cool & dry!!
The sun remains spotty and eruptive, slinging high energy streams all around; some hit Earth, we get auroras..you need to be way up north. I have not (forgotten mostly) been checking out the moon Venus show over the last few days, maybe tonight I'll take a ride, with binocs and see if I can spot Mercury, too. Virgo's Spica is in between the two planets, again, binocs. Follow the Big Dipper's handle's ARC to Arcturus then SPIKE straight down to Spica..that always works to find Spica..planets move...
Only 3 quakes around the big planet today above 5, all on the sea floor, 2 in usual spots, the other off the Windward Isles??? Caribbean plate remains a bit twitchy. Earth: whacha gonna do!!
