Equinox related cracks in Earth's magnetic protection shield are allowing the solar wind to slip deeper into Earth's atmosphere firing up Aurora Borealis displays in northern latitudes but that may well include the northern US over the next couple of days. Skies over Norway went from green to pink last night in a spectacular display. Eyes skyward Michiganders!!
Puerto Rico still with lots of little quakes - little, but you can sure feel anything that gets to magnitude 3!! A scattering of low 5+ quakes about our fractured globe but nothing massively destructive. Parts of Greece, Japan and Guatemala could be a bit on edge after quakes today. Alaska & south of Africa with biggest shakes but those only felt by bears & fish.
Easterly winds from the remains of Beta have it cloudy here today but a southerly shift will be warming things over the next few days. By October 1st, a powerful cold front is expected to drop us back into the cool, Fall zone.
For the first time in a long while I have not turned on the TV for the Sunday morning news shows. I know what they will be reporting and just don't need to hear any more of the hate and lies coming from the "leaders" of "the free world". I'm planning on voting tomorrow and know who I'm voting for (and against).
