Recently, a box turtle, every walk
Yesterday's mail check, roused a hawk
Tortoises: big & small, w/ patterns unique
Seems, mossy path cruising they seek
When big dog & I come around
They all quickly hunker down
Breyer gives a sniff & moves on
Turtles emerge slowly as we're gone
Big dog just wandered in
I know where that boy's been
Out romping with his girlfriend
Now on cool floor w/ heavy pantin'
Pantin' cuz it's getting hot

Nearby, Sahara dust cloud attack
Add in some western wildfire smoke
Gulf Coast air will make ya choke
