Jalapeño poppers, a summer treat
Wrapped in bacon, the best-est meat
Sitting on a bed of baby arugula
Leaves in bacon fat, like a spicy suga'
What's even hotter, the air outside
Thick with moisture thru which ya slide
Our summer heat, seriously delayed
But, a cooking planet..gotta be paid
And, July..ruled by heat & humidity
W/ hazy skies, filtered sun we see
Quake magnitudes remain rather low
Weather on the move..but rather slow
1am - big flashes & long, deep rumbles
Yet..downward..not a rain drop tumbles
Maybe today, w/ wild wind, too
Duck & cover, 'bout all ya can do
Kinda like a block party in Bal'imore
Shoot it up w/ folks next door
Supreme court jesters, backwards & down
Buy Sam & Clarence tickets outta town
To help Brettt get his thoughts clear
Let him fondle your daughter, buy a beer
