Since I like to sleep in

Seems winter did begin

'Bout half an hour ago

Cold, clouds, but no snow

We are tilted as far away

As we get from the sun today

Well, in the north that is

Way south, they got that summer biz

Sun's southward move is done

6 month northward tilt begun

Shortest day, longest night

Think I covered that, all right..

Now for big quake off NorCali

6.2, shallow too, but no tsunami

Elsewhere, usual boundary moving

Strike-slipping or into trench grooving

Comet Leonard is in brightening stage

Headed for its solar rage

Did not spot it last night

Perhaps not looking right:)

Or not dark enough

Then trees made viewing rough

Clear, dark skies; look to Venus' left

Perhaps, binocs with bit of heft

If you can spot any moons of Jupiter

You could spot comet for sure

Well, maybe..I'll have clouds in way

But, as usual, rain will stay away

Off to SE, along the coast

Here, still the drought we toast

Omicron & Delta battle on

At least 1,400 just yesterday

While boosted donnie lies away
