A cloudy morning gives way to a sunny afternoon in central Va. There is a slight chance of showers this afternoon but just seeing the sun reduces those shower worries. While cloudy here yesterday there was really no measurable rain unlike the eastern part of the state where western bands from Katia and the remains of Lee dumped over 10 inches of rain in places; flooding an obvious problem for those folks.
Aftershocks continue to calm, the almost full moon should make for a lovely evening.
Maria continues to charge across the Atlantic while Nate spins aimlessly in the Gulf of Campeche. Hurricane season at it's peak.
