It's still humid, there is still a chance of showers but the weak cool front that slide through yesterday has made today's air feel a little more pleasant. Occasional sunshine helps. Big changes are coming: a Canadian air mass will finally (the day it's going to happen continues to be pushed back) move the cut-off low out of the Great Lakes and allow some cool, dry air to move in here - maybe by the weekend.
Central Va. aftershocks are fewer and farther between, much to our relief but likely to continue for a while longer. The trend is looking good for eventual relief but, there is always a but, we live on an active planet and it will continue to shake and shimmy.
