We are settled into the middle of a cloudy, mild, damp period here in Virginia. A huge Low over the western Great Lakes is stuck and flinging moisture our way and the front that went through several days ago has drifted back our way and reformed as a coastal Low just offshore and is contributing to the damp conditions. About 2/3" so far with 3 days of clouds/rain - a heavy shower this morning making up most of the total.
No strong aftershocks here but things are still rumbling; seems like the shakes are moving off to the east a little. Readjustment in the earth continues.
Tropical Storm Ophelia is slowly spinning westward but not affecting any land yet. Japan has it's own hurricane (typhoon) issues. 'Tis the season.
