The remnants of tropical storm Lee drift northward today bringing rain to the entire eastern seaboard. The farther west you are in Va. the more rain you got. Reports from Charlottesville of 6"!! Only 1 1/2 inches this morning in central Louisa. Lee and the cold front that it's hanging with right now will linger at least until Thursday and then (according to forecasts) push Cat. 4 Hurricane Katia off it's northwest track right at us into a big boomarang turn to the northeast causing only massive beach erosion along the east coast and not destruction like Irene.
A 2.5 aftershock yesterday early afternoon and a 1.8 about 5 am this morning remind us here in the zone that we are far from done with the quakes. Glad I wasn't here for the first and slept through the second.
HANG ON, FOLKS; EARTH IS IN CHARGE!!
