Labor Day dawns mild and hazy here in Va with the likelihood of rain increasing to near 100% as a cold front moves through to meet up with the remains of tropical storm Lee which slowly works out of the deep south and into the mid-Atlantic. All will linger here for a day or more as it soaks an already soggy region but will issue in much cooler temperatures. It might stay dry for awhile today but rain gear will be needed later on.
Texas and the southwest get heat relief but continues in the rain-free zone. Fall is coming as frost warnings are issued for northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan.
I was out of the aftershock zone yesterday and today so am not sure if the lull in the rumbling continues. No aftershocks made the USGS list.
I labored... me with five kids at Kings Dominion. No rest but I missed the aftershock.
