A stalled front and remnants of Lee continue to make for damp conditions here in the mid-Atlantic. The cold front that made it to NC and southeastern Va oozed back north today and set up light rain in the west and storms in eastern Va. Swollen streams and flooded streets and yards make it a messy, somewhat dangerous world. One more day before a better chance of dryness and a little sun will return.
Katia lost strength again today, but continues to head our way; forecasters seem pretty confident she is going to swing away and miss us. Maria, newly formed and named is zooming across the Atlantic with sight perhaps on the east coast and the N storm looks to impact Mexico, missing Texas fires and drought again.
Aftershocks continue here, but fewer and weaker a trend we are hoping will continue.
