Skies Of Blue; Day 3

One more day of skies clear & blue
But, I see some clouds sneaking thru
Low still sitting off the coast
Retrograding south unlike most
That head offshore & on out to sea
Seems this one has no where to be
Last few day counterclockwise flow
Been hammering NE with rain & snow
While we have had dry loveliness
Even with some steady breeziness
But, we know change is coming
Unlikely we'll have rain a'drummin
Just more early April days
Chilly start with warmth on the way
Leaves doubling in size every day
Deep woods views going away
And, while many folks into zoom
Me, I'm watching dogwoods bloom
Or checking out nightly sky show
Watching brilliant Venus go
Right through the Pleiades
With binocs able to tease
More than the Sister's seven stars
Venus close, cluster off so far
With moon getting bigger & brighter
Evening dark so much lighter
Get out for a moonlight stroll
Aware, could be bears/coyotes on patrol:)
So, a big dog I like to take
And, some noise I make
Today On Earth

Quakes: down So. California way
San Andreas 4.9 slippage today
Idaho, still serious aftershocks
Off Puerto Rico, fewer moving rocks
Scotia plate, again on the move
Tonga to Kamchatka, quakin' groove
OK & TX, still fracking quakes
Get that oil, no matter what it takes
Pollute groundwater, ocean with spills
Industry should give us all chills
Yet, still we suckle at petro-teat
Sadly, soon, reality we will meet
Warming could make virus a blip
Habitable Earth, a sinking ship
Rest of planet will evolve
Or we could resolve
Our priorities to rearrange
Work for some positive change
If it's going to happen, ain't no doubt
Got to get republicans out
Otherwise, will be no relief
From greed & archaic belief
That death is better than life
Easy way to reduce world strife
If you believe we're better off dead
Keep that thought in your head
Please!!
Cuz, nobody knows, no one can see
Where we’re all going, where will we be
One thing is certain, it’s the great mystery
But, I know you don’t know, so don’t tell me!!
Be safe
Be smart
Stay apart
Today On Earth
