Rose Breasted Grosbeaks Return!!

One day later than last year
The pretty birds reappear
Rose Breasted Grosbeaks
Sunflower seed they seek
Only seen a pair so far
Last year I was quite a draw
We'll see if the gang returns
Birds are quick to learn
Where the good seed is found
Keeps 'em coming around
It's why I feed year round
Trying to keep populations sound
As human nightmares grow
Any love & help we can show
Long term, helps us all
Even something as small
As a little bird seed
Cuz if birds continue to recede
Nasty bugs will increase
Much pollination will cease
Then what we gonna eat
Tasty oil or plastic treat...

Atmospheric instability
Is still what we see
From Spring's roller coaster ride
Really is no place to hide
Cool, clouds with a breeze
April's warmth, only a tease
We'll see what's underway
As we roll into May
My bet, more unsettled change
Adaptability is not strange
It's the rule, every day
Just had hummer look my way
Slurping syrup, checking me out
Nice to see them cruising about
They can migrate, we can't
But, don't need another rant
About missing leadership
Or corporate greed worship
You catch sky show last night?
Moon, Venus, still eye delight
At a safe, social distance now
Moon with earthshine, wow!
Tonight, Just Off Earth

Mag. 5.0 quake, Mid-Atlantic ridge
Expanding the ocean a smidge
5.2 in middle of Pacific
Near Tonga to be specific
Big planet not too shifty today
Means, pressure increase underway
Eventually, it will release
Earth's quakes unlike to cease
'Til sun boils oceans away
Couple of billion years from today
Until then, have a plan of action
For next surprise Earth transaction
Today On Earth

Pretty crazy we have to teach
Fools not to drink bleach
But, believe what prez has to say
Darwin Award, headed your way
Good riddance, bye-bye
Your end draws nigh
But, for rest of you
That have a clue
Let's do our part
Be smart
Stay apart
Today On Earth!
