Northern air dropped temp to 57

While hurricane season seems to be revvin'

Dorian way out in Atlantic growing

Low off Florida still no quite showing

Northern water temps are now peaking

Soon landfall storms will be seeking

But, today a lovely break from humidity

And several more days temps 90's free

Each day sun sinks down a little lower

Loosing daylight faster not slower

That will only speed up closer to Fall

4 weeks and 1 day away is all

Waning crescent moon, smaller each day

Three small planets still hidden away

Jupiter, Saturn & Antares no longer in line

Forming a triangle that's lookin' fine

It's going to be gorgeous tonight

Wander out and check on the sight

Pretty average earthquake day

Pacific plate being subducted away

West Texas still having little quakes

SE Cali also with aftershock shakes

Still all in all normal day on Earth

For humans, still less death than birth

And, while that might sound great

Still too many not planning to mate

And, yet they are..still having kids

Then want help when they hit the skids

Want your kids to have a good life

Better plan it out, each husband & wife

Remember who doesn't care about the birth

That would be your planet, the Earth

Droughts, megastorms, more people slumming

Polluted air & water, soil washing away

Forever plastic, a bigger pile every day

Still Earth spins, not a care, no belief

Reacting, not looking to offer relief

Still pretty amazing rock that we're on

Billions more years before it's gone

How much longer will humans be

Around, if we are unwilling to see

We have created much of this mess

Soon we need to step up and confess

We can change, grow less and survive

Keep a smaller population alive

Or breed & greed on, ignore the crash

Looming, life on a world of our trash

Growth can be better not bigger

Less not more, before we trigger

A downward turn we just can't stop

Our self created meteor pop

Do more to use less
