You Don't Worry About Your Water...

Until your well runs dry, and Spring Creek (a big part of the problem) and Green Springs came out in force at last night's board of stuporvisors meeting and railed on the board. Of course, Toni Williams deflected, don't think he calmed any nerves. I left before even more spoke. Turned out my poem was even more perfect than I thought, water, water, everywhere but not a drop out your tap. Then you wonder where your water comes from, maybe should have looked a little deeper before now.

And let’s see what have we got?

Very few people think it’s right

At least, 2.6 million tax dollars shot

Where do we go from here

Near term answers, far from clear

Seems to be no water coming

Will new Zion homes be without plumbing?

So... at Shannon Hill can we wait?

And, not rush in and trash the place?

Wait..For a business that’s truly great?

Why waste our pretty good tax base?

Let’s not start cutting trees and tearing up soil

Soil cleans the water, trees keep things cool

 Can we look for a company that won’t spoil

The 700 acres that we now rule

And, the Go Virginia grant goes to.....

Just who and what are they working for?

Are they looking to bring clean, green industry?

There are lots of companies out there today

Looking to keep communities pollution free

And, happily into the tax base pay
