Eta is back to a hurricane, headed for a landfall along Florida's west coast but we are being drenched in the moisture flung northward by the storm. Temps stayed in the 60's over night, above the average high temp for Veteran's Day. (It's currently 15 in Breckenridge so it is November in some places.) Theta, newly formed in the eastern Atlantic appears headed toward Spain and the Caribbean has another system looking to spin into Iota - and we're all learning the Greek alphabet!
Quakes in Greece and Macedonia have likely tweaked some nerves today, Tonga quake hit 6.0 and Japan's SE volcanic island region had a 5.7 quake. Elsewhere around the fractured planet, the usual suspects with no big issues.
In DeeCee, the coup issue is growing as the loser prez refuses to concede, staff is dropping like flies in disgust at the clueless deceit, replaced by more TDS* intent on maintaining power. News came out the "president" hasn't attended a daily security briefing since October 1st and TrumpVirus cases and deaths spiked again yesterday - 140K cases and 1,448 deaths. Texas went over the one million mark for cases, way to not care Lone Star Losers!!!
Monday's news of good vaccine test result still leave us a long way from getting those vaccines approved and into folks worldwide! Lying prez, of course, claims timing was down to hurt him. Nope, he does that all by himself!
A green comet is moving through Orion but not quite visible to the eye, got a scope, looks pretty cool! No sky viewing here for a couple of days. Saturn and Jupiter are inching closer together in the SW as dusk!!
Yard was cleared of leaves yesterday, it's covered again today!! Much of the color has flown the coop but the clingy beech leaves along the creek still with the iridescent sunset show.
